Our Mission
Raw Remedease was born from a moment of refuse to waste. Sean Smith was making his famous carrot salad when he noticed the leftover carrot juice going down the drain. A former bartender, he did what came naturally — he started mixing. The result was the 14 Carat, Raw Remedease’s signature juice.
Sean bottled it up and gave it out for free at the gym. When he showed up one day without it, people let him know. That reaction told him everything. What started as a way to not waste became a business rooted in community.
A barber, basketball player, life coach, construction worker, and bartender — Sean has lived many lives. But all of them led him back to Southeast D.C. and the belief that real wellness should be accessible to everyone. Black-owned, community-driven, and built for the people.
“It all started with a carrot salad. I kept pouring the leftover carrot juice down the drain — then one day I thought, why waste it? I used my old bartender instincts, mixed it up, and the 14 Carat was born. I bottled it, gave it out free at the gym — and when I came back without it, I got crucified. That’s when I knew this was real.”
